CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Account Closure Request

An account holder may request to close his/her PocketMoni Wallet account at any time by submitting a closure request through the platform’s approved secure channels or by contacting Customer Support. The request must be made by the registered account owner or their legally authorized representative subject to the conditions below.

2. Conditions for Closure

Before a Wallet can be closed, the following conditions must be met:

  • Settlement of Obligations: All pending transactions (including scheduled payments, deposits, or withdrawals) must be completed or cancelled. Any outstanding balances, including fees or overdrafts, must be cleared.
  • Linked Services: Linked services (e.g., savings goals, social pocket contributions, credit facilities, or investment and trading accounts) must be resolved or closed independently, where applicable.
  • Regulatory Compliance: eTranzact reserves the right to delay or deny account closure in the event of suspected fraudulent activity, regulatory investigations, or any legal obligations requiring account preservation.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Upon Wallet closure, your access to the PocketMoni platform will be terminated. However, in compliance with applicable financial regulations and data protection laws, we will retain certain information for a legally mandated period (e.g., anti-money laundering, tax, and auditing obligations).

Data retained will be securely stored and shall only be processed in accordance with our obligations under the relevant data protection laws. Upon the expiration of the retention period, your personal and transactional data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Exclusion of Liability

eTranzact shall not be liable for any financial loss, data loss, or inconvenience incurred due to:

  • Failure to meet the closure requirements outlined above.
  • Delays caused by regulatory or legal obligations.
  • The user's failure to download or preserve account records prior to closure.

eTranzact shall not be liable directly or indirectly for any account or to any third-party for any obligations or transactions relating to the account, including but not limited to automated payments or subscriptions tied to the account after closure. It is the responsibility of the account holder to inform relevant third-parties of the account's termination.

5. Reopening a Closed Account

Upon the closure of an account, eTranzact is not obligated to reactivate the same on application of the customer. However, Customers who wish to resume as customers must follow the procedures stipulated by eTranzact for a new account, and shall be subject to the eligibility and compliance checks at the time of application.
